Birdwatching! There is nothing like it!

Click on the links above for tips on attracting your backyard friends.

Don't forget to stop in and see us. We carry detailed information on feeding, and attracting, specific birds, and critters that you especially love.

Overheard ...

"If you fill it, they will come!!"
"Want more birds? Put out more feeders!!"
"Why buy from a website when you can buy from real birders?!" (Okay, I said that one!)

Observations ...

For your reference, our house is in 08804, on  "Weather Mtn." On Yahoo maps it says "Swinesville" (yikes!). The juncos arrived at our house around Nov 1, 2008.  Up til Nov 28 we had House Finches and Goldfinches on our two Nyjer feeders.
Then they moved our hopper feeder. They like sunflower hearts too! Their picture is on our home page.

Birds stick around until you stop feeding them, then they head out lookin for food.
Birds
d
on't forget how to look for food ... no matter what you hear or read.

I also hear folks say you shouldn't feed seagulls, or geese, or turkeys, and so on. They WON'T get 'domesticated'!   Their behavior has been 'burned in' over thousands of years!  How are they gonna forget how to spot food? :-/
The thing we should NOT be doing is spewing TRASH everywhere so they eat THAT by mistake!  :-(

This is important! ...

When you apply pesticides to your yard, they eventually seep into the ground. When it rains the rainwater carries that pesticide further down into the water table. The water table is what EVERY water well taps into for drinking water ... for me, you, every man, woman, child and animal in our state!

There are now "dead" zones in our oceans, as a result of our using pesticides and other chemicals that wash down our streams and rivers!

I have a better idea for getting rid of bugs ... attract birds to your yard, and give bats a place to hide during the day! You already have em flying around your house at night, eating thousands of bugs, free of charge!  Give your bats, and birds, a house!  I'll put one in for ya!  Call me! :-)

... AGAIN ... we stock everything you need (except water!), whether you're just getting started, or you're a long-time birdwatcher!
